So last week I was driving my 1998 f150 and all of a sudden my 4h and 4l lights starting blinking and I think its the air bag light that came on. I went straight home and parked it.

I came out the next day and my battery was dead. Thinking well maybe my battery was dying I went and purchased a new one. I put the new one in and it started back up. As I left I noticed my speedometer was not working and my drivers side window was not working.

I have been having problems getting it to shift into gear over the last few months also.

Today I drove it to my uncles so he could take a look at it. Oh and I had to jump the truck again today. As I was driving there the speedometer was being all goofy and I could almost feel the truck lose power at times. The drivers side window was working again to.

We checked the fuses and there all good. Could my brake switch be shorting? When I left I could not get the truck into gear and the break lights did not work?

He played around with some wires and the break pedal and eventually I got it into gear. The half hour ride home everything worked fine but I know something needs to be fixed.... Thanks for any help!!
