Default phaser replacement worth it?

Like the title States. Is it worth it to change them? Mine are shot I presume but I hate to dig into the engine just for a noise. Has anyone noticed an increase in economy or power?

If you consider that your other components under the front cover are probably also prone to fail pretty soon (which will destroy the engine - interference design and all that) if your phasers are shot, is it worth it? Yes. It won't really touch your fuel economy or power. It'll just help the engine not commit suicide, which would be way more expensive than just changing all that out.

^^^ What he said. The phaser failed because of an oil pressure issue. You need to fix the issue also. A lot of times it's the timing chain tensioners.

Some opt to put the kits in locking out the Phasers from Livernois along with the tune to run the motor with but check for blown seals too.

Lol!
The only reason to dig into an engine is because of a noise...
