Default Phaser Question-Low Oil Pressure

So I just finished up the Camshaft phasers, timing chains, guides, tensioners. Also replaced the VCT Solenoids. Truck is a 2004 Ford F-150 5.4L 4x4. 163,000 miles.

I am sure the timing marks are all correct but the truck runs poorly and the phasers are loud. It runs well, then once warmed up and I slow down the "check gauges" chimes and oil pressure drops. Knowing this is simply a dummy light I replaced the oil pressure switch hoping it was that. But no luck. Will still occasionally drop down but it always comes right back up. I am at a loss as to what to do now. Once the truck cools down and starts up again, it will fire right up and run good until up to temp for a while.

Thoughts? Any help is appreciated.

This is the second time I have done this job, not on the same truck. So I am pretty familiar with what I am doing but I am at a bit of a loss. My next guess was to drop the oil pan and look at the pickup tube.

Thoughts on this?

I had similar issues and the problem was resolved after dropping the oil pan. An o-ring had failed in the oil pressure sending unit which caused the low pressure. After fixing that the truck ran like new and every bit of ticking/rough idle/hesitation went away

Was the O-ring in the pan?

Was it obvious that it was missing?

Christian brothers automotive did the work. They told me the o-ring was bad and replaced it. That's about all the info I can give you

Okay, thank you. I almost have my pan off. I am replacing the dipstick tube and it rusted off at the seam and broke anyways. Thanks for your input, it is appreciated.

Anyone with more thoughts, I'm open to anything.

If I take it to the dealer I'm sure they will just offer to replace the motor.

Ended up being a clogged pickup tube screen from pieces of timing chain guides.
