Default PCV Valve in 5.4

I've done a search and nothing comes up on the forums on pcv valves. My question is does my 2004 5.4L have one? The parts stores don't list one, also can i just clean the pcv valve? And can anybody take a pic and show me where it is located?

thanks guys

I was gonna replace it on my '07 as part of standard maintenance stuff but the parts guy told me the same thing, so I say it doesn't have one.

+1! Not a routine maintenance item on our engines.

I've never seen one go bad but if you want to know it is on the front of the bank 2 (drv. side) valve cover, under the power steering bracket

Default here's a picture

this is a picture of the underside of two 5.4 valve covers - one old and one new. The PCV hose goes to that built in assembly you can see on the roof of the valve cover. As you can see - and as others said - not replaceable without replacing the whole valve cover.

Default 5.4 Valve Cover w/ PCV Valve, Replace

Hi,

I'd like to know if anyone has replace their driver side valve cover with built-in PCV valve and if anyone recommends doing it, or when it should be done.

Thanks,

Jason
