Default Pcv valve

i have a 2006 f150 and wonder were i could find the pcv on the engine. watched a you tube video of a supposed 2006 f150 replacing it on a 5.4l and it looks completely different then mine . also dumb question i just bought the truck and was told it has a 5.4l but were do i look on the block for the stamp. cause im starting to think its a 4.6. If you could help i think i have a bad pcv cause their is defiantly air leaking and a little oil stain on air filter.

Is the decal still intact on the radiator cover? That will tell you. Although, if someone (for some reason) was trying fool people, this decal could be swapped.

Your VIN number is the ultimate way to find out what the truck had from the factory, but its possible a previous owner swapped the engine. That would be some work though, as other important items have to be changed as well (PCM, etc).

There are some links that you can enter your VIN into, and it will decode it. Or your local Ford parts department can do it for you.

You could Google pictures of a 5.4 and a 4.6. to compare. The stock air cleaner boxes are slightly different.

Here's a pic of a 5.4 stock air cleaner/air tube:

PCV.. is not replaceable on the 5.4 .. believe its built into the valve cover. and you can always take a quick pic of your motor and we can tell you what it is..
