PCV Elbows
Where are the PCV elbows located at in a 2005 5.4? The shop said mine needs to replaced and i cant find them? I got them for 10 bucks and want to change them out in case it is causing a leak but cant find them for the life of me. Plz help
On an 04 the PCV valve is located on the drivers side valve cover behind a metal bracket and I imagine the 05 is very similar. There is a plasitc firm pipe leading to the intake with clip on ends. I can't see why any of this would need replacing unless it was damaged by someone or something. The older 2V 5.4 motors (2003 and older) had rubber elbows on the PCV system that loved to dissolve and leak(had one go on my 97 Expedition).
You can always ask them where and why.

Thats what i figured, its the quarter inch tube. I love the dealership and how they dont even know their own trucks. Im replacing it anyways but i had a vacum leak somewhere but i repaced the throttlebody gaskets, the intake manifold gasket (crappy job to do), and disconnected the some tubes and cleaned them out and reconnected them. So far 4 days and no lights and normal rpms at idle. Im going to still replace it because its has a melted line in the tube that has not gone all the way through.
