Default Parking/backup sensor question

If one parking/backup sensor goes bad do they all stop working? Mine are acting up. None of them were working on Monday. I have a tonneau cover that, when it rains has a spot that holds water. When I back down my driveway and hit the brakes I get a water fall and the sensors always go crazy. This didn't happen on Monday. We had rain again Monday night and when I left for work Tuesday morning when the water rolled off at least one of the sensors picked up the water.

Yesterday as I was backing out of the parking spot at work to go to lunch I got really close to another car and the sensors didn't work. I know I was close as I could see it on my backup camera.
I believe it was one of the left-side sensors that picked up the water Tuesday.

turn the key on, do not start. e-brake on. put gear selector in reverse and go listen to each sensor to see which one is "not" making a clicking sound.

The backup warning system ceases to operate if one or more of the sensors are bad. Like was said previously, listen for ticking to determine which one is bad. Like you, one of my sensors went out after getting soaked but it was from a car wash. Going aftermarket replacement for a fraction of OEM is something I've had good luck with on these sensors as well.
