Default Park Assist (Back-up) Sensor/Module

So out of the blue my park assist stopped beeping at me, and is always lit up as off. However, I did notice that when the truck starts the sensor does work for about 5-10 seconds. If there is something behind me it will beep for a few seconds then switch itself off, if there is nothing back there then it will not beep, but still after about 5-10 seconds it will turn itself off. The weirdest thing is yesterday it just started working normally again for most of the day, then again switched itself off at random as I was pulling in to the driveway from work.
I was thinking, perhaps there is a reset or something that might straighten things out, y'all got any ideas?
I am very open to suggestion at this point ....

Mine does that too, i did some looking around the forum and it seems that one of the sensors has gone bad and shuts down the whole system so you don't depend on it...thats what i figured out anyway, but i never did take it in and have it checked/fixed

Reverse park aid sensor failures are very common. Also check the wiring harness to the sensors. They can get very beat up, especially if you go off road.

you have a sensor failing like Kobi stated...turn the truck off...put it in reverse turn the key to on...do not start the truck...go listen to each sensor on your bumper (4) the one that is not clicking is bad.

Do exactly as techrep said.

Once you find the bad sensor, swap the sensor with one of your other ones (warning, connector may be a pain to get off) to determine if it's a broken wire or a bad sensor. In my case, far drivers side wire was broken. There's 3 wires per sensor: ground, positive, signal.

Sometimes even just wiggling the wire makes it come back to life... obviously that's not the long-term fix but it confirms a broken connection. Mine was more due to no mud flaps and snow packing in the rear bumper.
