With the way the economy is, I had to put off buying a truck, but now am about ready as long as my contract passes here shortly. ANyhow, I have a question about exterior color. Ive been looking at King Ranches and there seems to be two variations of "Red" out there for 2007 &2008. I hate posting a members pic without their approval, but havent seen this gentleman on lately. His ID is gmcretz. Is this what they call Redfire?

your paint color should be part of you VIN number. any paint shop should be able to pull it up

It could be on your driver side door jamp

 

maybe I should have been more clear. I DONT HAVE A TRUCK YET. I want to know what color the truck is in THIS picture. which means I dont have access to the VIN. and im not about to check all the VIN's on the trucks im looking at.

 

you cant just look at the color and tell?? and thats a KR only color i think its something copper, cant remember my great uncle has the exact same color

 

Realizing you do not have a truck yet, try visiting a Ford dealership in your area and see if they have a left over sales brochure for the year(s) your interested in. In the back of this sales brochure, there will be paint chips that are labeled with what models these colors were available with.

Other than that, you'll need to hope that this owner of the truck in the picture chims in and looks at his drivers door jamb to give you the paint code color, or visit a Ford body shop and ask them; they will have paint chip examples for the Ford model lineup, and can then tell you it's "name".

 

Look at this, if you can get to a door sticker to get the paint code, this will decode it for you.
