Default P2106 the story-The beginning............

Hey all, here's the beging of my story. 2 weeks ago the fail safe mode came on when the ABS and brake light came on. I parked it and had not had it happen again for 4 days. I took a 2 hr. trip and on the way home, It came on again. I put the 2004 supercrew in neutral, shut it down and started it back up. Everything was fine again and I drove 60 miles until it did it again, this time with the engine light on. I shut it off again and cleared the code,P2106, no other codes, with my edge and made it home , 80 miles with no other problem. It started again today so off to the dealer. I have done all the reaserch on this so I know about the TPS associated with this but did not have a P2135 code. At the dealer they showed 4w drive codes and ABS sensor codes and unable to communicate codes. Already have $102.00 per hr. in it and they need another hour 'cause they cant figure it out. Will keep you posted...................

Default update

O.K. the dealer just called and the service monkey said the tech wanted it for another day. Said he put a part on it to test it and ran it 50 miles with no codes or problems but wan'ts to check it more. Ya, the question I also asked, "what part did he put on?" Service monkey doesn't know. Will find out tomorrow.......................

o.k. dealer called and said truck is ready! Said it was the TPS, duh! I drove 400 miles for turkey day and no problem. It rained and on the way home it kicked into the same thing. This time when I would get to 2400 rpm the abs light would go off and come back on when I take my foot off the gas. I'm thinking vacuum. I followed the right front wheel sensor lines (2) and found one that is just a tube not connected to anything. hmmmm interesting. Well off to the dealer again tomorrow..............

Default problem solved

Well it seems that the guys who put my lights on the brush gaurd mounted thier fuse box to the screw that holds the ground for the abs. Screw came loose and ....................... Dealer remounted everything and GET READY..................................Didn't charge me a THING! They said it became a learning excersise for them to diagnose. AWESOME!

I have the same problem with my 2004 super crew. ABS lite, check engine lite and P2106 fault code. So what is the fix?
