Default P2106 Code FAILSAFE MODE

ok guys. Everywhere I've read that this points to the throttle body needing replaced. My question is.. there are only two electrical sensors on it. The TPS which is on the left side and the actuator motor on the right. The TPS is brand new (replaced it yesterday) and I know the actuator motor is working because when I unplugged it the engine almost died. What else could be wrong with the TB? Meaning it needs replaced? I have all gears and can go as fast as I want to (except climbing hills) it does feel like since it went into failsafe mode that it takes longer to swap gears... I have pulled my ABS module to have it rebuilt, but it's been unplugged for a few weeks now and p2106 just tripped yesterday. I'm at my wits end!! What are your thoughts? Oh and just to add, right when it first went into fail safe I lost everything on the dash. Everything is working fine like it should. Just the weird shift points and loss of power.

Do you have the 5.4?

The 5.4 has a motor that adjust the intake runner length. Which changes the power band. If the runner motor is not working you will have a loss of power

Yep the 5.4 the TB was replaced about 18 months ago. I cleaned it about 2 weeks ago with the maf. So do u think I can just replace the actuator motor also or do I need to go ahead and replace the whole thing again? The only DTC I'm getting Is the 2106 . IT GOES into failsafe after switching into 2nd.

I think we are talking about 2 different things
The TB motor is different from the motor I am talking about.

this motor is on the back side of the intake manifold that control 2 linkage rods that open or close something inside the manifold to increase or decrease the runner length

Yes we are talking about two different motors. I was referring to the TB motor on the right side of my throttle body. The code I am receiving is P2106 TAC System Forced Limited Power. Do you think that the motor you are referring to could be my issue? Are these on the 5.4 3v?
