07 f150 5.4. after I clear codes, within a few minutes I get a p2006 in history. It never goes active and it will clear but come back. I used my scanner and commanded the IMRC does not activate. I was able to move the arms so I know it's not bound up.

Where would you start looking? PCM? Intake?

What bi directional scan tool were you using to try to command the IMRC to move?
Pinpoint tests in the PCED for the P2006 code is what I would, and you should be doing

 

I tried scanning with think and with ids it doesn't work with either.
