Default P1000 and an edge

Changed the plugs today. Unhooked the battery in the process and after all was said and done the truck has the p1000 code obd readiness test not complete. My question is it safe to take my edge from stock to level 2 before it completes the drive cycle and clears the code? Thanks!

I don't think it would hurt anything personally.
