Finally took it it the Ford dealer after I ran other tests and they are telling me I need to replace the left side cat converter and it's gonna cost me $2000. Or they said I could buy my own and they would charge me $300 for labor. I found some on RockAuto by Walker for $300-400. Anyone have any experience with these? I've also seen this thread where the Magnaflow is suggested but it's over $1000 now and I really don't want to have to fork out that kind of money. If anyone can provide any insight on a good replacement it would be much appreciated!

*Edit - I have a 2008 4.6l V8 RWD
If ur talking about a Ford truck my experience with this was to change the O2 sensor that is in the catalytic converter after you run catalytic converter cleaner and replace mass air flow sensor cuz that goes bad it's Domino effect with all ur other sensors and that should get ur light to come off but if ur catalytic converter is severely clogged then u will need to replace it and the sensor anyways cuz if it is bad then obviously that will need changed and I would try this first especially if ur struggling financially but running cleaner is always good to keep it from happening again hope this helps I had Ford pickup most of my life and work on em myself cuz Im a struggling widowed mother so I do have a lot of personal experience with them. Have a Blessed Day
