P0106 Code - Catalytic Converter Help
So my engine light came on and my truck seemed to get stuck in limp mode. Takes about 30-40 seconds to get up to 40 mph and get's stuck there. I pulled the code and it was P0106 and the suggestion from AutoZone was to replace the EGR Valve. I did that but nothing changed.
Finally took it it the Ford dealer after I ran other tests and they are telling me I need to replace the left side cat converter and it's gonna cost me $2000. Or they said I could buy my own and they would charge me $300 for labor. I found some on RockAuto by Walker for $300-400. Anyone have any experience with these? I've also seen this thread where the Magnaflow is suggested but it's over $1000 now and I really don't want to have to fork out that kind of money. If anyone can provide any insight on a good replacement it would be much appreciated!
*Edit - I have a 2008 4.6l V8 RWD
