p 0330
I have had my 2008 F150 5.4 in the dealership four times. They have not been able to fix my truck. My truck will cut off in low idle while at the light. The code is 0330 the Ourisman Ford in Virginia has had my truck four times. twice for over two weeks. I'm in this financially thousands of dollars and the truck is still turning off. Ive contacted Ford directly and the dealership won't even answer her calls. Anyone have an idea how to get the light off and fix the problem.
Give us more info.... what did the dealer do already? replace knock sensors or?.....
have a look at this video.. For as easy as the ignition coils are to get at on the 5.4 I would just go ahead and order a set of ignition coil boots for $35 and replace them all to eliminate this possibility..
It seems like knock sensors are not a common problem, but I think I remember somebody on here saying there was like a loose bracket or something on the side of their engine that was rattling around and triggering the knock sensor to falsely detect it as a pinging.... something to consider.

If its shutting off I would think its something else that should be showing up .You need to get your own codes off of torque pro its a $5 app that works with an android phone -doesn't need to be activated at all - a cheap Bluetooth reader off amazon .
Codes come on in groups some are the cause some are the result of shutdown etc .
Of course you want a fresh set of plugs and boots put in properly ,torqued to 25-28 foot pounds . The app is very good ,you can send screen shots to this site . This app can be used on lots of engines .
I just lost a a plug on number 5 and I was going down the road with it shuddering , I knew i had a misfire but which one , I fired up my old android and it was po305 - number five cly . So I crawled / stopped by auto zone and got a plug went to the house. I used a new cop and boot first - nope - pulled plug and yes I have gone over 60k miles -plug bad . Ordered a new set -will change them all in a few days .
You really can't address the problems until you know you have a good ignition done well - it just to confusing . I still use a little nickel anti seize on the plug nose ,and i have my tube of dielectric grease I use a little on each end of the boot . I try to do a very hospital clean job - no junk or fluids in spark wells . My boots were new last time so if there is another plug change it will get new boots then . Unless any fluids ruin boots then they get a new one right away . Anti freeze/oil/gas/ heat age kills boots .
You need to analyze your own problems and not totally be at the mercy of others. I carry a spare oem cop/boot and my android torque pro . I usually have 8 plugs on hand for next change - i paid $20 for one plug at auto zone I have a set coming for $90 .My fault . Always give us all the codes for us to make our best guess .Learn what mode six is .
Basically ping sensors are microphones so even tapping with a hammer will set them off -that gives you an idea what they are seeing . They can be changed under intake by pulling alternator . I hope you are not using e85.
