Default Overheating brake

05 screw, 4x4, 5.4 w/automatic trans. stock aluminum rims and tire size.

Last week I noticed I have an overheating brake rotor, after taking everything apart I didnt find anything wrong there, the bearing has no noticeable wobble, the caliper isn't seized, the bolts that allow the caliper to float arent rusted solid, all seems normal.

After doing a search here I did find something about over torqued wheel lugs causing warped rotors, I did have my tires rotated but that was over 2000 miles back and only just started having this problem.

Anyone have any other ideas as to why this is happening?

Is it only one wheel? If there's a lot of miles on it, a piston in the caliper may be sticking.

yep, only one wheel, both pistons in the caliper move back and forth though.

Mine was doing the same thing. I would feel a slight vibration at speeds about 35 mph and my passenger side rear wheel was getting really hot so I figured my caliper was sticking. When I took it apart the pistons moved freely and everything seemed fine. I left it alone for a while until it started to happen more frequently. I ended up replacing the caliper and I haven't had a single problem since.
