Overhead rail console
Had one of the latch tabs just wear out on the eyeglass bin that is one of the modules to the overhead rail system on a 2006. Discontinued from Ford. Checked nationwide junkyards and nothing there. Finally found one in grey, new old stock, last one of 2 on Ebay. There was a larger and smaller bin back in the day when you had the DVD player from the factory also up there. The larger ones are still found and all were tan, but the smaller one is a tough find and then on top of that finding it in grey. You would think they would last longer than 14 years and 400,000 miles. You could get different modules from Ford to do different things and they would just clip into the rail. I guess it just did not stick around very long as an option. They work well and convenient to use. With the DVD player there are inputs to run Sirius through the aux on the radio.
Did you check with LKQ? Their inventory is nationwide and changes daily. Go to LKQOnline and put in truck info. I bought a floor console from them. If you're lucky, they will have one close to you so you won't have to pay shipping.
