Default Overflow issues!!

whenever I go to fill up my gas tank at about 15 gallons it suddenly gushes out a bunch of gas. When I try to fill it up again it does the same thing, therefore I have to fill the tank super slowly instead of preventing this. Do you guys know how I can fix this issue? Is there pressure inside the tank that isn't being release? Thanks!!

The vent tube has probably been plugged with sediment, dirt, etc. One thing you could try is pour some sort of fuel cleaner (lucas, stp, whatever) into the fill tube to see if you can clear it out. To me thats the cheapest/easiest fix to try first.

Mulestang,
I have to say, I would not have thought of that. Now I have to find that part and cover it with some scrap screen.

I had an 05 Mustang that had similar issues. Whenever I went to fuel it, the autostop on the pump handle would click constantly. Fueling that 15.6 gallon tank was a 15 minute affair! The accepted fix was rather complicated, compared to what you do with the link posted above for an F150. My solution on the Mustang was to rotate the fuel nozzle 180 degrees, ala NASCAR style. Worked like a champ!
