Default overdrive issue or tranny?

Recently while driving around 60mph and above either with cruise control on or off my truck is shuddering or more ike bucking when decelerating or accelerating and today i got the check engine light. My buddy told me it sounds like my overdrive is shot and he said to try and turn OD off so i did and it ran just fine...anybody have any input on this and what the price is to fix overdrive or even if you can?

Get the CEL read. It's probably a misfire.

A misfire is when usually the spark plug or COP isn't working properly and causes the cylinder not to fire correctly. Get the code read and it will give us a much better idea of what you should do.

start calling auto parts stores. most of them will read the codes in hopes of selling you lots of parts.

Took my truck to advanced auto parts and ran the code...system lean on bank 2...the guy said basically its the o2 sensor saying that the engine is either getting too much air through the intake, a hole in the exhaust or a loose hose. Does this sound right or do you still think its the plugs?

Sounds like a vacuum leak on that side. It's not too much air, it's unmetered air coming in on that side. Check all the vacuum hoses on that side and clean the MAF/TB.
