Default Over advanced code

2005 Ford that started to stall about a year or two ago. The original code was it was over retarded. I had the phasers, timing chain, tensioners and guides replaced. It ran fine after that until the light came back on. Now the code is over advanced. Transmission was replaced 2 years ago. It runs fine, idles a bit rough though. I have been driving it with the light on for about a year now. I never did more because it didn't stall and didn't pose any problems. But I want to get as many miles as I can out of it. Almost to 200k now. Any ideas on what to check? I had one mechanic mention it may just be a computer issue.

Default well did you use oem phasors

Lots of labor to do it the same but aftermarket phasors are trouble . A big cleaning while it was open is a big deal .
Tensioner seal might have blown again reducing oil pressure to hydraulically operated cam phasor circuit using dirty engine oil .
We now use the old style ratcheting metal tensioners that have no seal to blow out .
Me right now I would change oil, run 5w-30 full syn with one quart marvel m oil . Then check oil pressure with manual gauge . Replacing VCTs a good thing to do at this point . Change oil often no extended intervals . sounds like you need a tune new boots/ plugs. only go 60k on plugs .
pcm tells vcts to move cams with dirty oil, springs in phasors try to help phasors return -- . small screens and passages clog ,try new style vcts . clean throttle body and maf .

Did you use OEM or aftermarket phasers as asked above? Did you clean out the oil pan?
