Default Opinions on programmers

I am going to order rims and tires soon, rims monday and tires next week. I was wondering which programmer would be best as far as install and user friendly (have never done anything like this). Wanting to have speedo right and better power, plus towing help.. Thanks in advance...

IMO, the most user friendly would have to be the Edge Evo. It is an awesome programmer. It helps a lot with the transmission shift points and the throttle response feels better to me.

look into the edge Evo, many of us have it including myself.

Thanks SRH I was just watching the install video on that exact one. Do you have to send it back to be programmed? It d?idn't look like it in the video, looks like you can reset the settings yourself..?

no it comes with canned tunes, which are a little better than the stock tunes. there is three tunes built in that are meant to be ran with our trucks. You can always send it to PhP and convert it to a gryphon for custom tunes. Which are better than canned tunes, but only worth it if you have an exhaust, e fans, cai or other performance upgrades.

You dont need to send it back to Edge.

A custom tune is far superior to a canned tune even on a stock truck. Most people liken a custom 87 octane tune to the 91+ canned tune of the Edge. Do it right and get the Gryphon the first time.
