Default Opinion on repairs

Hi all, having some work done on my 06 screw 4.6. replacing rear differential seal, u-joints, stabilizer links, and the drive belt. Rear diff seal is leaking and the others just maintenance. is $650 fair for this work??
Any help is appreciated. Thanks!

$650 seems fair. The sway bar links are relatively easy to replace, belt is easy to replace, differential seal can be a pain, and u-joints I would imagine take a good bit of work since you have to remove the driveshaft. Differential seal will require new oil, seal, and it has to set up for a certain amount of time before you can put oil in it since the seal is RTV.

Thanks, I haven't taken anywhere for a second opinion so this helps.

Are you supplying parts?
If that's labor and parts, that's not bad

If you do the work yourself, the stabilizer bar links for both of them are $60-70, the differential pinion seal is like $20 and the serpentine belt is about $25. I don't believe you can replace just the U-joints on these trucks, you have to replace the entire drive shaft (and that's $600 or so)

If he has staked on u joints then yes. If he has e clips than you dont have to replace entire driveshaft. These are e clip u joint

That's great to know about that u-joints. I already had my drive shafts replaced under extended warranty, but I'm sure it's gonna go eventually since it has 80k miles on it, many towing miles.

That quote seems fair.
