Ooops! Help!

Trying to get my sway bar nut off...and it just spins freely both ways. I can't even get the thing off to see what's going on in there. Any ideas...I need my truck today. Thanks!

Whenever i took mine off, i used a pair of vice grips to hold that ball, then wrenched it off
