Which One Would You Pick?
Ok im new here and this is my first post to f150 forum. I have a choice between two trucks. I understand im posting to a f150 forum and will probably get all f150 answers. I already posted to a tacoma forum and got many replys. All but one was for the tacoma. Most of the time its just me in the truck and sometimes me and one other person. Not very often do i have more than that. The most i ever tow is a trailer with a couple dirtbikes on it so i dont need the extra towing capacity but the extra room and leather in the f150 is super nice. Here is what i have:
2005 F150 lariat supercab 4x4 88,000 miles, 2.5" leveling kit 18" moto metals and 325/65/18 (35x12.5x18) nitto terra grapplers. Blacked out head lights, blacked out tail lights, black fx4 grille, black brush guard with fog lights, kicker amp and subs under back seat.
2005 toyota tacoma trd sport access cab 4x4 95,000 miles, 3" lift 32x10.50x17 terra grapplers black brushguard (brushguard not on yet in the pic)
(The tacoma only gets 3mpg better. 12.5 in the f150 15.5 in the toyota)

Of course you know the answer you are going to get on this form, the F150. Here is why: 1) its a Ford. 2) it has more power. 3) higher ground clearance. 4) MADE IN AMERICA. 5) more room. 6) since it is the number one selling truck in america so it will make it easier to find parts and accessories to enhance an already badass truck for a lower price. 7) chicks dig fords more. 8) better creature comforts. 9) better towing no matter what you are pulling. 10)you might pay a little more in gas but it is totally worth it and the list goes on and on. I could write a whole page on the benefits of a F150 over anything else, this is not even scratching the surface. I know that anybody will be much more happier with the Ford.

Excuse my ignorance, but, is tacome a half ton truck ? I was forced to rent a dakota a few times when my truck had to get fixed and I hated the size of dakota, is tacoma the same size with a dakota ? if so, I say F150. if tacoma is as big as F150 consider the total value, reliability, expense of maintaining them etc ... it becomes a spreadsheet exercise ... if you absoluetly have no preference ... the one with the probable least over all cost over the next 5/7 years wins hands down
I am very biased towards Fords ... they make very nice looking trucks ....
P.S. On second though, I looked at the trucks again ... look how awesome F150 is looking and how bland Tacoma looks and puny too
What is the price difference ?

Go with the Ford, best selling trucks for 34 years, must be doing something right! I don't recall toyota ever having the #1 selling truck. Ford is made in America, by Americans. Sure some toyota's may be made in America, but the money is going right back to Japan. Support American businesses! The Ford just looks mean on the front, while the toyota looks plain and boring. You'd get alot more respect from most people for driving an American truck. Plus everything is more in the Ford, towing, power, room, size, except for gas mileage, but I'd bite the 3mpg difference and have V8 power.
