Default Is it ok to do the Gotts mod on a 2004 5.4 with Edge Evo?

Hello everyone, I've been reading the forums here for a few years and as I start to do more mods I thought it was time to join. I apologize if I am rehashing something that's already been covered but I did search a while without finding a straight answer.

Is it ok to do the Gotts mod on an 04 with Edge level 2? I've heard about the 04-05 being different than 06-08 in regards to MAF sensor placement which would cause the truck to run lean and possibly damage the engine?

Any help would be appreciated. Thank you guys in advance!

I have the edge evo and the gotts mod and have had only benefits, no issues whatsoever. From what I've read any intake modification done upstream or before the MAF sensor will not affect any fuel to air problems because the MAF will still regulate the amount of air traveling into your throttle body, the mod just allows more air to flow in faster creating better throttle response. I also added a high flow amsoil dry filter to my intake.

By doing the Gotts you are not moving the maf, or like the previous poster mentioned changing anything downstream of the maf. Do check that seal at the bottom of the air box. Look at the sticky on the 2004 - 2008 forum about a moan fix, to know what you are looking for. The leak is an example of changing air flow downstream of the maf
After the gotts, calibrate the tps. A free thing you can do. Works great for me. Calibrate a day or so after doing the gotts.
Turn the key to the "run" position without starting it. Slowly depress the gas pedal to the floor and then take your foot off and let it come all the way up. Then turn the key to "off". Repeat the whole process a couple times and your done! This just recalibrates the throttle body.

So there isn't any difference between the 04-05 and the 06-08 as far as the gotts mod is concerned and it won't cause any issues with the Edge? Thank you guys so much for the quick responses!

How about running the Gotts mod on a 2004 5.4 V8 without any edge or upgrades just straight stock under the hood. Anything to worry about or keep an eye out for.? Any known issues.?
