Oil change

Oil change
I posted on the forum in a different discussion a problem I am having with my truck. Last Thursday I got my oil changed at the local Ford dealership. they had asked me if I wanted the regualr oil or ful synthetic oil. I choose the cheaper regular change. I suspect it wasn't "full synthetic". Well a few days later I am having P0022 issues. I have changed my cam sensors and the truck runs a little smoother but still wants to stall sometimes. I am wondering if putting the wrong oil is affecting my VCT selonoid and causing it to throw a P0022 code? Just thinking out loud guys.... PLEASE HELP!

oh, well, you didn't mention that. That might have a chance of messing with the sensor, but if its summer and you change it out for the correct 5-20 it shouldn't do any permanent damage. I've always had 5-30 in mine up to this point and everything is good. sure 5-40 is a lil thicker but not a whole lot.

I pretty sure a Ford dealership knows what oil to put into your truck.
