Offset/backspacing
Ok, so I'm finally looking at what wheels and tires to get and have a question about offset/backspacing. I know for a 18x9 I should look for 4.5-5.5 backspacing but the wheel I'm looking at(XD Addicts) are only offered in ~4.5 or ~5.7. 1st, which one would require the least trimming on a 06 4x4 w/ 2.5" level with a ~34" tire? 2nd, which one sticks the tire out farthest?
The 5.7 will be much better for you. Requiring minimal if any trimming. The 4.5 will definitely stick out farther. The 5.7 has around a +18 offset and the 4.5 is negative 12. The difference in those wheels would be about two and a half inches with the 5.7s tucking in fairly well and the 4.5 sticking out the additional 2.5 inches. What size tires are you running?
I just bought the 17" XD Addicts in matte black; mounted them on Good Year Duratracs (315/70/17 aka 35s) last week. I have the 4.5" backspacing, but I'm also on a 6" lift.
The tires don't stick out far at all (perhaps 1"), but everything's relative and I'm ultra sensitive about not having tires that stick out way past the fenders.

295/70/18 is pretty common. I know there have been quite a few people putting them on stock wheels lately, but I will see if I can find them on that exact backspacing on this site. Search function sucks on my phone.
Member with same size and wheels I'm suggesting. Newer truck, but same idea.
