Default Offset/backspace questions

I know there is a sticky for wheels and tires but I could quite find what I was looking for. I have an 08 Screw 4x4 and I am about to level it, my question is. I am looking at Kumho road venture mt size 315/70r17, a set of Mickey Thompson baja claw ttc size 305x65x17, or Dick Cepek mud country size 33x12.5x17. I will be mounting these on 17x9 wheels but I cannot seem to find the right offset/backspacing for them. I do want the tires to stick out past the fenders for the aggressive look (maybe a few inches), but I don't want them sticking out some gaudy amount and have to buy fender flares. Basically what I am looking for is the right amount of backspace/offset to achieve the aggressive stance and not letting the tires rub without them sticking out way too far. Any opinions or advice is appreciated. I am new to fords as well as 4x4 pickups. Had a 2WD dodge and recently made the switch

Alrighty,

The 315/70r17s are a 34.3"tall 12.4" wide tire. This will need atleast a 2.5" level I'd say. I wouldn't run anymore than a 0 offset with this tire. You'll rub badly and have to trim metal.

The 305/65r17 is a 32.8" tall 12.2" wide tire. You could run this without a level if you wanted, I'd still level personally. You shouldn't have any issues with any backspacing.

The same is true of the 33/12.5r17 tires. Level it run a 0 offset and your set.

Now, regarding the stance question. The more positive offset you go (+5,+12,etc), the more "tucked" your tires will be. The more negative (0, -12, -44) the more they will stick out. Having said all that.. My rims are a -12 offset and that pushes the tires roughly 2.5" past my fenders. Hope it helped.
