Odometer display
I'm new to this board and hopefully you can solve this for me. The backlight display on my odometer/o.a.t. went out. The LED is still visable, but the backlight no longer works. Is the whole instrument bad or are there LED's that provide the backlight.
Thanks

welcome,
my guess is its just leds went bad. You should be able to replace them somehow.
Mine have gone out on my door handle in a few places. I am waitingto rip them out and see what i need to do to fix it

No Pain, No Pain!
The led's went bad and can be replaced, but it is a pain in the ****.
Essentially you have to remove the front of the dashboard and remove the instrument cluster to get to them. You would do well to invest in a Haynes or Chilton's repair manual, they are worth the $.
