The other day I watched a dodge ram with the big hemi engine kick into it from a stop light and she couldn't keep the truck straight it was all over the road. The road was a little wet form the rain but I was just behind him and I had no issues with my truck.
ok it was wet i can still jack around when its wet by power braking but i just recently noticed the lagg get really bad 2+ seconds is a little rediculous for a built in lagg.

when you say lag do you mean slow to get to speed or you mean a 2 second lag from the time you push down on the gas until you move.

My truck when I am going down the road and I decide to mash down on the gas it is a little before my engine responds and kicks in.

If I press the pedal to the floor it revs up like its going to take off but never does. It sputters up slowly. Much more slowly than the redlined tac would suggest.

Nah I don't agree. It's one of these things you'd have to feel to see. Its not slipping from the gear, the gear is engaged just fine. It feels like engine breaking, like an enormous amount of lag from the engine. Imagine if you were to baffle the intake and gradually let in air a little at a time. It's kind of like that. I know I've got a coil going bad as it stutters and misses here and there under certain conditions. I see a lot of other people who have posted in this thread have a similar issue with the acceleration, so theres obviously something to this.

I have a 07 F 150 w/5.4 and I have the same problem as everybody else. I had a Ford dealer check it out and they reset the computer but to no avail. The idle was a little smother but acceleration was not helped. I keep thinking is this thing ever going to take off or am I just sucking gas.
