Default Non-typical Edge Question

I am ready to buy a programmer. Im pretty sure im going with an Edge CTS. But my question is, how well do they stand up to the heat? I live in North-west Arizona and days when it hits 125+ degrees the inside of a vehicle can hit 150+ degrees. I have already had an issue with a cell phone that I accidently left in the center console that melted the battery. I dont want to drop a ton of money on a programmer just to end up frying this summer. Anyone have any knowledge of this?

i left mine in the truck all the time, and my truck had been exposed to the summer several times in FL and NY. I don't leave mine in top of the dash, but under the steering wheel, so no direct sun contact. no problem at all so far. I had not opened it, but i dont think you have a large battery there. if so, it maybe a watch size battery. it uses external power.
in all cases, you dont need to leave it in the car all the time if you don't want. i know it defeats half of the purpose, but if you are more interested in the tune part, that could be a consideration. you can tune your truck and then remove the edge till next time you want to change the tune.

Ok thats what I wanted to hear. Vegas is the same climate within a few degrees (Hotter here) Cause Bullhead is only about an hour south.

Thanks for the input!
