Ok I pray someone can help me .
I started to put a fuel pump in dropped the tank then turn the key to see if my old pump was purging . well my gauges started to twitch and go crazy then my battery dies got a jump nothing had the alternator checked it was bad brought a new one had starter checked said ok got a new battery and now my starter just knocks when I turn the key . would a bad ignition switch cause the knock ?

Seems like you need to double check your work. You've got something electrically wrong with your truck. Changing a fuel pump wouldn't kill a battery and an alternator in one felled swoop. If you know your fuel pump was bad, I'd finish that job and put the tank back on and put some gas in it. Then I'd check your fuses to make sure you didn't short anything out, and then address why you're not getting juice to your starter. It's probably one simple thing.
