Default No reverse on 2006 F150

I was picking up a load of scrap in my 2006 5.4 F150 and as i started to reverse there was a loud bang and the truck would not move. I put it in drive and it did just fine, but if i try to reverse i get nothing.

Had exact same problem. Depending on the transmission, but if it was the same as mine the reverse went toast and you'll need a rebuild..

How many miles on the truck then on the rebuild?

Mine made it to 202,000 before I lost reverse.

You broke the reverse band. If it was rebuilt three years ago then maybe it doesn't need to be completely overhauled again. Good luck
