No Overdrive when Overdrive Switch On
Hello,
I have 2007 xlt 5.4l 4x4. It originally would be fine until 60 km hour then it goes into neutral and rpms go way up in 5000s.
When I turn off overdrive switch, i have a perfect 3 speed truck shifts normal through her gears. I rebuilt the transmission with sonnax sure sure kit and all new seals, new over drive band, new forward clutches and steels. We rebuilt trans and valve body with sure cure kit. New filter.
Everything in transmission looked perfect. With the exception off the last 3 piece bearing in case. The part of the casing on it was chewed by the gear into a 3 inch sliver.
The overdrive servo clip is fine. None the valves stick.
The forward clutches were hot at some point due to blue color on the steels. Everything else looked perfect.
We test drive it. Same thing, but goes into neutral at 40 km rather than 60. Turn over drive off, perfect 3 speed truck. I will say that the dip stick was pretty hot to touch though, but I'm not sure if this is normal or not.
We went to trans shop they gave us a good valve body to eliminate valve body. Tried that same result. She isn't shooting any codes but I'm not sure if code reader is working right as my dad's ram 3500 has dash power train codes that aren't read by this code reader either.
Not sure what to Do, any help would be greatly appreciated. !
