Default No first gear

Hello all, so, before you tell me to search for an answer, ive searched EVERYWHERE. I have a 2004 f150, 5.4l 4x4. I have no first gear, and this is what happened. I was driving down the road, and I noticed at stops my first gear would slip. This happened out of nowhere, no slips before this ever. Then around 25-30 mph it would disengage out of gear and I would have to come to a complete stop to get it to engage again. Within a time period of 45 minutes, it went from perfectly fine to the truck wont even go into first gear anymore.

I got the DTC codes, P0720 and the code for limp mode. It says the Output shaft speed sensor circuit is bad, so I did the diagnosis on the wires. Both wires have continuity, and are connected to the sensor. So I test the sensor, its in normal operating range, (420 ohms). So I bought a new OSS sensor, put it on, hoping that would fix it. NOPE! didnt do anything. So I drop the pan, put a new shift solenoid in, check for any metal fragments, and there are barely any at all. Ive seen more in a perfectly good tranny. So, now I have this truck that doesnt go anywhere, and the DTC code I think isnt even related to my problem. Im about to just drive this thing into the lake and never buy a ford again. Has anyone resolved this issue before? any help would be great.

Also, I forgot to mention, reverse works fine. I just cant get it to engage at all in drive. I jacked it up so the rear wheels were off the ground, and it seems like 2-4 work and catch just fine. But on the ground the truck refuses to get into gear.

That's some serious cleaning LOL and I like it. I have solved transmission problems by adding fluid, cleaning filter and changing fluid. I've never taken one apart, but I have swapped for a salvaged one.
