No 4x4 light and not going into 4x4

No 4x4 light and not going into 4x4
My buddy has a 05 lariat 4x4. And he said that when he puts it in 4x4 the light doesn't come on and he doesn't think it is going into 4x4. Would that be the shift relays? Or somthing else? Thanks in advance.

First thing to check is the IWE solenoid. Cheap and easy fix if that is what it is.Good chance that is it.
