Do you guys think 4.56 would be fine for highway driving. I do a bunch of it everyday, i know it will rev higher which is fine. Seems to get its power at higher rpms.. That way i will also get the better get up and go in town.. Or i noticed 4.30 gears aswell.
I have read a bunch of posts on the gears but everyone has different ideas depending on what theyre looking for etc.
33" tires is what i have

Thanks

What ratio do you have now? If you have 3.73's now I'd almost say just do the 4.56's.

Ultimately it is a decision you will need to make.

Yeah going to 4.11 is a small jump. I'd look harder at the 4.56.

Do you need to have a dial indicator for checking backlash if im putting in all new parts (bearings and gears etc.)
I can rent the bearing puller and seal installer etc but not a dial indicator...

Thanks

Well I am buying gears tomorrow.... going to ask the guys at the place what they think between 4.30 and 4.56
I am thinking just go big with the 4.56 and be done with it.
What do you guys think?

Will be doing the swap myself this weekend or next

I think either one you'll be happy, do tell us how it goes. Gears is on my near next list but I have some house work to do first.

Alrighty, well got the 4.56's all in now test drove it and am sure glad i didnt go with anything else.. rpms arent even high on the highway, no big deal going from 3.73-4.56
took a bit to install, ran into a few problems and parts stores werent open.
