Default New Windshild

Well it happened... CRACK... a little stone chip at the bottom of my windshield turned into a 3 foot long crack. It went all along the bottom of my windshield. So I called Henderson Glass. And they came right to me and changed it out.

I have worked with these guys in the past and have always liked their work. I had space in my shop so they could do it out of the rain.

He said that these windshields are a bit tricky because of the top corners. There is a lot of butyl there. It took him about 20 minutes to take it out. And there was another guy where I work that also had his windshield changed out in his Chevy truck and it was out in 10 minuets.

But it looks like new.. And that’s all I can ask for.

as an autoglass business owner, its in my nature to see certain things. so just to point out:

1. never leave tools or parts laying on the hood/roof
2. when using sharp tools, wear gloves and/or eye protection
3. there is no buytal on today's cars, perhaps back in the 60-70s where we didnt know about adhesive tensile strength, structural integrity, and crumple zones.

it looks like you went with the DW1529GBY.. i always prefer the shades and so do my customers
