Default New window switch and still have a problem!

So ever since i got my truck my driver side window would always get stuck down because the up switch didnt work. It would sometimes work and other times not. So a couple days ago i went and bought a whole new switch that control all windows and the lock. Today i went to roll down my driver window and nothing! So i took the switch out and took it back to the place. They gave me my refund and i went to autozone. I bought a new switch and installed it. Tried the window and nothing again! So now i dont know what to do. Has anyone else had this problem? Does anyone have any troubleshooting tips for me? All the help would be much appreciated. Thanks guys and girls!

Thumbs up

I had the same problem and at first i thought it was with my alarm that rolls the windows done. I took it to the dealer and it was the window motor and cost about 250. it is extremely hard to replace and i recommend just having them do it. Hope this helps

check the ground wire in the boot between the door and the cab. You have to unplug from the cab the wire harness from the door and pull back the boot. This is what happened to my 04 screw. It didn't appear broken, but the wire inside the black coating was broke. I spliced and soldered and have had no problems since.

crank the truck, turn on the headlights, and dome lights, hit the switch and watch the dome lights, if they dim, you need a window motor more than likely... its not bad, 4 or 5 bolts and thats it, just make sure the window is all the way up when you take out the old one, and try to have someone hold it up for extra security. let me know if it works
