Default New twist on an old tale?

Get to work this morning, put the window up, loud "pop", sounds like parts falling inside the door panel. It seems everyone else that has this problem says the window falls, mine still seems very tight and in the fully closed position. Is this something different, or am I just waiting for the window to fall? As I am at work right now I won't be able to take it apart until this evening, and I really don't want to play with the switch in case it won't go back up.

Mine made a lot of noise going up and down and sounds similar to yours. It was the regulator. I had another one just drop though. Scared the poop out of me. Tasca parts or Team ford parts are your friends.

the weather stripping and seal are keeping your window up now. My wife's truck had that happen many times... always the pop and then the window would fall or she would come out of her office and the window would have gone down sometime during the day.

Thanks for the heads up. Found some online, complete regulator & motor assembly for around $80. I'm guessing these are some off brand POS, does it really matter?!

No they all suck...lol. I have replaced 1 on each side so far. That's a good price. I think I paid around $100 per side thru Team Ford Parts.

no, because if you spent the extra on the oem replacements, eventually they would break too. im sure the cheap ones will break eventually, but would rather spend less as you'll end up replacing them just like you would the oem ones.

That was kinda my thought too. But it seems others have alot more experience with this. Thanks again for all the good info!
