well got the plugs changed over the weekend(440 for labor) and what a relief no more bucking whatsoever its a pleasure to drive again

 

Excellent news! How many miles? Did they break any?

I had the dealer do mine before I bought it. They broke 5. My truck had a small hiccup when the torque converter locked up at 45mph it would hesitate and buck until it downshifted.

I got to see the plugs that came out of my truck at 98k miles. Man they should have been changed at 50-60k. They were shot!

 

Wow, $440?????? I paid $80 to do mine. Took about 2 hours.

 

What year model? Any break?

Mine drives much better now as well OP. I had a miss under load going 60+ if I tried to accelerate to quickly.

 

07, 5.4, 113K. None broke, had the lisle on hand.

Nope, that was in 08 and the boots on the COP's were brown.

 

I thought from the stickied thread on the 04-08 section that if your motor was built after like 10/31/07 that you had the redesigned heads. My truck was made in about that time frame just a year early.

 

A build date of 10-31-07 would likely be an 08 model year or darn near close to it. 2015 models are hitting the lots now, assembly started late October to early November, that's how it works.

 

I recently did my plugs at 95K on the clock. Broke 6 out of the 8, 2 and 7 were the ones that came out whole. There was actually no carbon build up on the lower portion of the plug it was rust on mine.
