Can you be more descriptive? Did the problem start before or after you changed all this stuff? What are the symptoms besides "low on power"? So on...

The truck was running bad. esp at 1900 RPM I thought the 5 month old fuel pump module was shot.
- changed the fuel filter still bad.
- changed the spark plugs and was way better at WOT for 1 day.
- day 2 still better but not perfect...idle seems rough at times and WOT could be better.
I tossed in a can of seafoam in the gas tank and we have a 2 hour drive tomorrow so that might help but I think maybe there's more work to be done.
It is a 2004 Lariat that I got 18 months ago from an old timer who never towed or worked the truck. He treated it very well and had it maintained by the Ford Dealer but he also let it sit a lot, did not drive it every day PLUS being an old timer in a cold climate he probably had many days sitting outside stores and shops idling waiting for the wife to do her thing LOL

old plugs.
My mechanic (a real Ford guy) said the plugs were really really bad compared to what he usually sees (including all his own Fords and Lincolns) so based on that, what else on this truck is going to be real bad after 73,000 or so miles?
Thank you for your input.

Did you check the condition of the FPDM (fuel pump drive module)?
If not, take a look. Drop the spare tire and see what condition the module is in.
Many of these are coroded to the point that water and dirt can get inside.
If it looks bad, order a new one from Amazon for about $60.
Two bolts and a snap in plug to remove or replace.

Hmmm .. second plug change? As those are NOT the original factory plugs.
BTW - quit tossing crappy chemicals into the tank! Ford recommends only Techron (or their own MC PM-6) to clean the chambers. Avoid Seafoam, Lucas or any other snake oil.
On COPs - stay with MC or Visteon for best reliability - the others are all a crapshoot - and chasing random misfires is going to ruin yer life .
X2 on the FPDM - always worth a looksee if'n yer in the slatbelt.
good luck

Hi.
Sorry - my bad - I missed that. Is it a Dorman? They are showing signs of premature failures. Probably not that...
Try and get any stored pending codes pulled - these will not necessarily set a CEL. Not all cheap scanners can read them. Some conditions will prevent open loop operation which will kill power and mileage.
The other onerous condition is engine sludge - short trips, a lot of idle time, poor oil choices. Only real remedy there is a protracted AuotRX treatment.
Cleaned the MAF & TB? Have the front O2's checked for responsive switching - these can have a HUGE impact if they are getting 'lazy'. May want to R&R them in any case - they are due. Motorcraft only - here's why:
