Default new and need help

hello....new to this site, and to big trucks. i heard this site is great.
sorry if this is a repeat topic....and can you link me to the right way if it is. thanks.
i have a 2006 f150, lifted 6 inches with 22"s and 37" tires.
my truck sucks at stopping. i almost rear ended someone as they stopped short.
im not comparing it to my mustang...but the truck doesnt stop.
im looking for a "big brake" package = bigger rotors, more pistons etc.....something that will make me stop when i need to.

any suggestions, links, prices etc.... ???

thanks for all your anticipated help.

First off, welcome!

Drilled and Slotted Rotors and a GOOD set of EBC or Hawk brakes would make a world of difference for you! Shop around online for them, but that's what a lot of guys on here run and like.

Also, post some pics. of your truck!

If your going to go with a big brake kit...get your wallet ready...go to EBC's web site and look.

Welcome to the money pit!

Your truck should stop fine with OEM parts. What condition is your brake system in at the moment? Have you tried bleeding the system and running clean fluid in it? Did the original owner install ceramic pads? There's a handful of things that could be wrong with your system. I personally would try and figure out what's wrong before you go spending money on bigger brakes.

OEM rotors(or equivalent) with quality semi-metallic pads should have your truck stopping on a dime. Wagner TQ's would be choice in pads.

What else do you have on your truck? You running 37's on 6" alone?
