Default New logo for steering wheel

Guys,

I wanted to replace that Ford logo on the airbag on the steering wheel module. I bought that new aluminum one that you see online and am so sorry. First of all after you spend an hour removing the airbag, there is no serviceable way to separate the plastic cover and access the tabs bent over to hold the new logo ( or release the old logo). You can pry the old one off, that is easy but then what if you cannot get inside the cover?

I'm sort of sorry I removed the module and wished I'd have bought a sticker overlay instead. My plan now, as I cannot access the inside and do not wish to puncture the airbag inside, is to cut off the sharp mounting tabs and install the new logo with double stick tape.

This project could have gone better with an overlay.

Ok I just did this. Dont cut off the tabs just trim them so they can fit in the original holes. Then use a non expanding glue to hold it in place. Works great.
