Default New headers or a tuner?

Hey guys, I'm pretty new to this forum. I'll post some pics and customize a profile soon. Performance wise, my truck is a completely stock 2004 F150 Supercab. I've added aluminum running bars, billet grill, chrome plated door handles and stainless bed rails... but I digress.

I'm looking to improve the performance of my truck this spring. I've decided on the Banks Air Intake and Monster exhaust system. I'm also thinking about upgrading my headers OR buying a tuner to give my truck a custom tune.. but not both. Which would you reccomend? Would I see more performance out of new headers or a tune?

Also, would tuning my truck interfere with my extended warranty? That could very well influence my decision.

Thanks a lot guys

You will more than likely need a custom tune for the headers so I would go with the tunes. Plus you will see better improvements from the tunes.

Thanks for the quick reply! I've been swaying toward the tune heavily anyways.. Is it also possible to tune the capabilities of the intake and exhaust? I have no clue how involved tuning can be.

+1 for the tuner. install the intake and exhaust first and then you can tune the truck for the new mods
