How's it going everyone, I just made my way up from a 94' F250XLT to my new toy a 04' F150 FX4. The truck is bone stock and I can't wait to start doing some "work" to it. My first goal is to get the sag out of the front and put a Hell Bent 2.5" Level kit on. Once that is complete i want to put on some bigger tires and new wheels. My first choice will be Method Racing Wheels "The Standard" wheel in a 17"x8.5" with a 0mm offset and 4.75" backspace. My questions is will these wheels work with the backspacing and offset? Also I will be going with a 305/70/17 tire. (not sure brand yet, but probably Nitto Terra Grapplers). Will this setup work, and if so does anybody have pics of your truck sitting like this? Thanks

 

Is that the only offset they make those wheels in? You may benefit from more backspacing. Here is mine with 315/70/17 on 17x8 wheels with 5.43 inches bs and +25 offset. No rubbing and no trimming. With those wheels you may have to do some minor trimming.

Welcome to the site! I have nearly the same wheel and tire setup on my 04' FX4. I also have a HBS 2.5" leveling kit. I had minor rubbing on the back bottom corner of the fender flare. I had to cut a little piece off each corner. I have M/T Sidebiters - 5.0" BS / 0mm offset wrapped 305/70R17 BFG KM2's.

 

Awesome setup! Thats the first picture I have seen with this setup, and now I am super stoked! Looks good. Jerry, for the 17" wheel that is the only setup they have.

Also, for exhaust...I have always like turn downs right after the mufflers but i have been unable to find on youtube anyone with this on the 5.4L. I dont really care what brand of mufflers but can anyone give me some insight on this setup. Was wanting to do true duals and dump right after mufflers.

 

They weren't dumped but search darrenws6 on youtube. He had 04 with true dual dynomax bullets that sounded great.
