Default New grill

So after months of getting ideas from everyone on this forum i decided to sign up

My question is this i have a hbar grill on my 07 screw and recently bought a mesh grill off ebay and i was wondering if i can remove the hbar incert and reuse it on the new mesh grill since its the color of my truck has anyone done this or somthing like this?

Sorry if this has already been talked about

Heck yeah you can as long as the clips from your new grille line up with the spots in your existing surround. Post a link to the grille that you bought so we can see what kind it is and if anybody has installed the same on on their trucks. And welcome to the forum

I'd have to say that'll definitely work for sure. Just take your time changing them out as the plastic clips are notorious for breaking. But, if you take your time and go easy you'll have no trouble. The last time I did this I used three flat screwdrivers , pretty fine ones. Pry the insert away from the surround at one of the clip points with a screwdriver and leave the screwdriver in there, just don't pry it all the way apart. Move to the very next one and do the same. Once you get to the third one you'll have enough of the insert pried away that you'll now be able to completely release one of the clpis. Work your way around the grill doing this and before you know it you'll have it completely apart. Inserting the new grille into the surround is a cakewalk. If you need a hand when you get ready to do this give me a shout and I'll try and talk you through it.
Post some pics when you get it changed out!
