Hello everyone, I just bought this 2006 f150 and was wondering if there's a way to mount a winch behind the front bumper? I was able to do it on my 07 expedition but I can't seem to find any mounts for it online. Any info or idea is appreciated.

 

I have researched this, and what I have found is the 09-14 rough country hidden winch mount will fit but you have to modify or move the trans cooler so there's room for the winch.
the other option is a 2" front mount receiver for the 04-08 and then a receiver mounted winch tray that sticks out / is removable.

 

I have that hidden winch mount on my 07 expedition, but I'm not opposed to it sticking out. The hidden look is nice but not easy to get my hands in there to use it.

 

I also think that this rough country exo one would probably mount up, though some slight trimming might be necessary. It bolts on where the tow hooks mount and the dimensions are the same for those, so I don't know why they don't list it for 04-08 as well.
There was somebody on here a couple months ago who said he saw an 06 driving around with one of these on it, but wasn't able to ask if they had to modify it...
