New engine for 2004 F150
Time to replace my engine in my 2004 F150 Lariat. What are my options to replace my 5.4L? Any recommendations or success stories out there? I found this one on carid.com and wondered if anyone else had bought a Replace Engine: https://www.carid.com/replace/oe-rep...yABEgK5efD_BwE

I had a PowerTrain remanufactured engine put in mine. Seems like new truck now. The key I think is to choose your installer carefully. Dealer is not always the best option. If you can find a good, reliable independent mechanic that is NOT a Flat Rate shop, you could be better off. A good mech will beat the flat rate hours every time.
