Default new battery installed GOT PROBLEMS HELP

So I just replaced the battery in my 07 supercrew 5.4. And now it won't start. Plus when I crank it over I can let go of the key while its all the way forward and it will continue to crank by itself. Checked the manual and it states to put the parking brake on, put in N, everything off so the computer to relearn new settings. Plus I have the cam sensors unplugged due to the **** poor designed oil cam phaser b#llsh#t. 114k miles

Please help Thanks

the engine will crank when you let go of the key. It's designed to do that. Also prevents you from cranking if the engine is running.

never heard of any problem like that before. check and make sure you didn't knock off a wire loose or blow a fuse during the change over

What about the anti theft system, it seems like its not reading the key.

Does the key spring back because mine won't. I go to start it all the way forward and I can let go of the key and it will still crank on its own. This doesn't seem normal. I would think if you let go of the key, the key would spring back towards me.

ya the truck cranking when you let go of the key is weird but they all seem to do it
have you tried a different key, maybe the anti theft is not reading your key right????
